Favorite Winnipeg Jets Memory

Considering the return of the NHL to Winnipeg is looking more and more possible with each passing month, it got me thinking about our beloved Jets that graced our city from 1972 until 1996.  Being a Jets fan was never easy, as they only won 2  playoff series in their 17 year existence in the NHL (both against Calgary).  However, there were some memorable moments.  Teemu Selanne`s rookie season, the Whiteouts, beating the Flames in 87`while dancing to Wang Chung's "Everybody Have Fun Tonight!"

And my personal favorite memory.  Dave Ellett scoring in double overtime, to give the Jets a commanding 3-1 series lead against the hated Oilers.  I'm not going to get into who won that series, but I was at that game as a young teenager.  So feel free to share your favorite Jets memories.  This may be the last year Winnipeg is without the NHL.
